This policy covers the Tidal Hook app for Android (package com.punyasurya.tidalhook), made by Sinar Studio. We do not run user accounts, and we do not ask for your email, phone number or real name.
Leaderboards and achievements (Google Play Games)
Tidal Hook uses Google Play Games for its leaderboards (biggest fish caught, species found and coins earned) and achievements. If you are signed in to Play Games, your totals and unlocked achievements are sent to Google and shown together with your Play Games profile name and avatar, according to your Play Games profile settings. This data is handled by Google under the Google Privacy Policy; we do not receive your Google account details. You can manage or delete your Play Games profile and its data in the Google Play Games settings. If you are not signed in, your progress and achievements stay on your device.
Stored on your device
Your progress (coins, unlocked fishing spots, your aquarium and its decorations, your collection log and best sizes, daily missions and stats), your energy and its refill timer, your achievements, and your settings (volume, language, vibration) are kept on your device only. Tidal Hook does not send your progress to us.
Ads
The app offers optional ads you can choose to watch for free coins, extra energy, a second chance at a rare fish that got away, extra casts or double rewards. These ads are served by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads and prevent fraud, Google may collect and process information such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, approximate location and how you interact with the ad. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland the app asks for your consent first. Learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads).
Permissions
The app uses internet access (for ads and Google Play Games) and vibration (when a fish nibbles, bites and fights, which you can turn off in Options). It does not use your camera, microphone, contacts or location.
Children
Tidal Hook is not directed at children under 13.
Removing your data, questions
Leaderboard scores and achievements on Google Play Games are tied to your Play Games profile and can be removed through Google Play Games. Data stored on your device is removed when you clear the app's data or uninstall it. For any question about this policy, email [email protected].
